Q. What are some of the recent projects that you’ve been working on?

A. I’ve just been doing a lot of press for “Wildfire,” the show has been getting a lot of great press. So, just more stuff for “Wildfire,” not necessarily shows and movies; it would be nice. There hasn’t been any time for that, unfortunately, just mainly press and the international stuff. We’re doing really well.

Q. Season three of “Wildfire” just premiered. What can you tell us is new with your character this season?

A. I think you’ll see her really get comfortable and complacent in a way. I think with complacency there is a lack, not drive per say, but a lack of challenge. I think you’ll sort of see her get a little too comfortable and what happens when she gets too comfortable. Because of her comfort level she’ll be faced with a lot of challenges. There is a new love interest that comes into play and also her position at Raintree becomes at stake and that’s also something I think the audience will find really intriguing, interesting and heartbreaking.

Q. What is it about your role that continues to challenge you?

A. Really making it interesting, I think that’s the toughest thing, being on a television show, you’re sort of playing the same character. I think, like Kris, you become a little bit complacent. I think the challenge is to really stimulate yourself every single day and to find something new within that character that you can build upon. To find the love and creativity within it, I think that’s really the challenge. I come for a theater background and I’m used to plays. There is a beginning, an end and doing things night after night, I am used to finding the creativity in that. With the show, you don’t really know where you’re going to go, you have a beginning but there is no end. It’s a challenge sometimes, because sometimes you want to be lazy and sit back and let the writers do it all. I think the challenge is to really be focused, creative and always find the love in it.

Q. Do you feel like the chemistry that the cast has offscreen, helps to translate with the chemistry onscreen?

A. Yeah, I think so, I really feel everyone is extremely professional and they are wonderful people. I can’t say enough good things about them. I definitely feel the good-naturedness and our love for each other helps for sure. They are such a great group of people, I’ve learned of much for them. Especially from Nana Visitor, I just think she’s phenomenal, she’s an amazing human being and a tremendous actor. I have learned so much from her and she really is a mother in a lot of ways.

Q. What do you think it is about the show that continues to draw so many viewers in?

A. I don’t know, I would think it’s great stories. I honestly feel like we have such great chemistry that you can tell we all want to be there and we’re having so much fun. I think that everyone from the gaffers, to the directors, to actors, everyone loves being there. As much as I want to say it’s stories and it looks beautiful, all that comes into play. I think it’s that you can tell everyone loves their work and I think you kind of get a vibe off of that. I don’t really watch the show so I can’t say from an objective point of view.

Q. Do you have a really memorable moment from your time working on the show?

A. Every single day I laugh hysterically, they are so wonderful. I think last year for my birthday, they hired a stripper, that was pretty memorable. I was so humiliated! I couldn’t believe it, it was during lunch, and lunch is my one break. Usually I am in my trailer hanging out or doing Yoga. They told me to come out and so I was sitting there and next there this beat came on and it was so embarrassing. I don’t get embarrassed easily but I was mortified.

Q. Do you have to continually go through equestrian training for your role?

A. Yeah, absolutely, I’m always out there when I have a spare moment. It’s amazing, people who have taught me are a phenomenal group of riders. My main trainer is fantastic and it’s really like Yoga, I’ll get up on the horse and have to close my eyes. With his hand motions he tells his horse to follow, it’s really incredible. I am always trying to find ways to be a better rider and this season my riding skills aren’t just exclusively racing. It goes into jumping and that’s one of the things that I had to work on which is fantastic. A lot of the stunts I got to jump by myself; it was great.

Q. What do you enjoy doing in your spare time?

A. I travel and the last hiatus I went from hiking to Matchupechu to going to Tahiti to living in Paris. I went to Amsterdam to visit my friend, I really enjoy anything that’s going to stimulate my mind and I do a lot of Yoga. I have been volunteering in New York, anything that is going to stimulate me and I can give back.

Q. Do you have a latest obsession? Are you into any particular music group, sport, activity or book?

A. I’m really into the Yoga center in New York and then mountain biking. I haven’t been doing that lately but when I’m in New Mexico I go mountain biking. I’m also obsessed with the band The Kook.

Q. What would you like to say to your fans and supporters?

A. Thank you so much for supporting me the last couple of years and I can’t thank you enough for believing in me and watching. Stay tuned because it’s going to get more exciting. Thank you!
